Parking in Győr – Zone Overview

Parking in Győr is subject to fees, and payment times vary depending on the zone and day of the week. The city is divided into several parking zones, each with its own pricing, operational hours, and maximum parking duration. Below is a summary of the most important details regarding the zones and operating hours.

Operating Hours

Monday to Friday (working days): payment is required in all zones generally from 08:00 to 18:00.

On Fridays and Saturdays in Zone I (9021, 9022): parking fees apply from 08:00 to 20:00.

On Saturdays in Zone II (9023, 9030, 9031): payment is required from 08:00 to 14:00.

Zones and Pricing

The most expensive parking zone is 9021, located in the heart of the city center, where the hourly rate for cars is 520 HUF. This rate also applies to small vans and motorcycles, while buses and larger trucks must pay 1560 HUF/hour. There is no maximum parking time in this zone.

Zone 9022 is also central, but the rate is slightly lower: 440 HUF/hour for cars, vans, and motorcycles, and 1320 HUF/hour for larger vehicles. In this zone, parking is limited to a maximum of 180 minutes.

Zone 9023 lies on the outskirts of the city center, with more affordable rates: 320 HUF/hour for cars, motorcycles, and light trucks; 960 HUF/hour for larger vehicles. There is no time limit here.

Zone 9030 has a more residential character, bridging the inner and outer parts of the city. The hourly fee is 360 HUF for cars, motorcycles, and vans, while larger vehicles pay 1080 HUF/hour. There is no maximum parking time in this zone either.

Zone 9031 is designated for short-term parking, typically around busy intersections. The rate is the same as in zone 9030, but parking is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes.
