Parking is free in Szolnok’s paid parking zones on October 23 (Friday)

On October 23 (Friday), parking is free in Szolnok’s paid parking zones and in the Market Hall car park in connection with the national holiday. On October 24 (Saturday), the Market Hall car park will operate according to its usual Saturday schedule. The rules for hospital parking will remain unchanged over the long weekend. According to information from NHSZ Zounok, therefore, the same rules do not apply to all the parking locations mentioned.

Where will parking be free?

According to information from NHSZ Zounok, parking will be free in Szolnok’s paid parking zones on October 23 (Friday). The announcement applies to paid parking zones: no parking fee will be charged in these zones on the holiday. The announcement does not list specific streets or zones, so it does not provide a more detailed list of the locations affected.

Parking will also be free in the Market Hall car park on the same day. This is mentioned separately alongside Szolnok’s paid parking zones, so if you choose the Market Hall car park, the announced rules for October 23 (Friday) are also clear for this location. The information about free parking does not name any additional locations.

However, this change does not apply to hospital parking. According to the source, the rules for hospital parking will remain unchanged over the long weekend. The announcement does not specify the exact parking conditions there, so the holiday parking exemption cannot be interpreted as also applying to hospital parking.

What applies on October 24 (Saturday)?

On October 24 (Saturday), the Market Hall car park will operate according to its usual Saturday schedule. This differs from the free parking announced for the previous day: NHSZ Zounok designated parking in the Market Hall car park as free on the holiday Friday, while the usual Saturday operation will apply on Saturday. The announcement does not describe the details of the Saturday schedule.

The information provided for October 24 (Saturday) specifically concerns the Market Hall car park. It does not include a similar announcement about the Saturday rules in Szolnok’s paid parking zones. Therefore, the free parking announced for October 23 (Friday) does not mean that parking will also be free in the zones the following day.

For hospital parking, the source indicates that the rules will remain unchanged throughout the long weekend. Anyone planning to park at the hospital on either of the two days should therefore take particular care to distinguish this location from the paid parking zones and the Market Hall car park. The announcement provides no new fee or other modified conditions for hospital parking.

What should you keep in mind when parking in Szolnok?

Before setting off, it is worth checking which of the locations mentioned in the announcement you plan to park at. On October 23 (Friday), parking is free in Szolnok’s paid parking zones and in the Market Hall car park; the rules for hospital parking, however, will not change. This distinction is important because the information about free parking does not generally apply to every parking location over the long weekend.

If you are looking for a space in a paid parking zone, you can check the zone code using the zone finder. Checking the zone code can help identify which zone you are in, but it is still worth reading the rules announced for the long weekend separately for each day and location. The source specifically announces free parking for October 23 (Friday).

For October 24 (Saturday), the only information confirmed is that the Market Hall car park will operate according to its usual Saturday schedule. The source does not provide fees or time periods for this, nor does it specify the rules for that day in the paid parking zones. It does, however, clearly state that the rules for hospital parking will remain unchanged over the long weekend.

In Szolnok, therefore, the key point in the holiday parking announcement is that parking will be free in the paid parking zones and the Market Hall car park on October 23 (Friday). The following day, the Market Hall car park will operate according to its usual Saturday schedule, while the rules for hospital parking will remain unchanged over the long weekend. Before parking, it is worth checking which of the announced rules applies to your planned stop.
