Parking in Balatonfüred to become more expensive in 2025

Update (October 27, 2026): A further increase took effect in January 2026. Current hourly rates: Zone I: HUF 550, Zone II: HUF 320, Zones III and IV: HUF 280. You can find the current rates on the Balatonfüred parking page.

From February 1, 2025, parking rates in Balatonfüred will change significantly, affecting both the city center and areas near the beaches. The city administration aims to use the new rates to manage traffic during the peak season and promote sustainable urban transport.

The new parking rates will be as follows:

• Areas below Route 71: The parking fee will rise from HUF 500/hour to HUF 530/hour, an increase of 6%.
• Kisfaludy Beach car park: The hourly rate will increase from HUF 280 to HUF 300, a rise of 7.1%, and the daily rate will be HUF 1,000.
• Upper Town: The parking fee will rise from HUF 240/hour to HUF 260/hour, an increase of 8.3%.

The boundaries of the parking zones and the paid parking periods will remain unchanged, so the usual rules will continue to apply in the various parts of the city. In addition, the first two hours of parking in Upper Town will remain free with a valid parking ticket, which is a great convenience for local residents and people who work in the city.

The increase will be particularly noticeable during the summer, when Balatonfüred fills with tourists. Visitors should plan their parking costs in advance and find out about parking options in good time.

The city administration hopes that the changes will help the parking system operate more efficiently and ease the city's traffic problems.
