Parking fees increase in Balatonfüred in 2025

From February 1, 2025, the parking fee structure in Balatonfüred will change significantly, affecting both downtown and beachside areas. The city management's goal with the new tariffs is to regulate the traffic during the peak season and promote sustainable urban mobility.

The new parking fees are as follows:

• Areas below the 71 main road: The parking fee will increase from 500 HUF/hour to 530 HUF/hour, representing a 6% increase.
• Kisfaludy Beach parking lot: The hourly fee will increase from 280 HUF to 300 HUF, reflecting a 7.1% increase, and the daily fee will be 1,000 HUF.
• Upper town area: The parking fee will increase from 240 HUF/hour to 260 HUF/hour, which represents an 8.3% increase.

The boundaries of the parking zones and the payment periods will remain unchanged, so the usual rules will continue to apply throughout the city. Additionally, in the upper town area, the first two hours of parking will remain free with a valid parking ticket, which provides a significant benefit for local residents and employees working in the city.

The price increase will be especially noticeable during the summer season when Balatonfüred becomes crowded with tourists. Visitors are advised to plan their parking-related expenses in advance and stay informed about parking options in time.

The city management hopes that the changes will contribute to the more efficient operation of the parking system and help alleviate the city's traffic problems.
