Free parking of electric cars in Mosonmagyaróvár will end

In the city of Mosonmagyaróvár, as of April 1, 2024, changes will come into effect in terms of parking rules, especially for owners of purely electric vehicles.

Until now, zero-emission vehicles could park at a discount in the city after registration, exempt from parking fees. However, with the amendments coming into effect in April, this exemption will be abolished. This means that drivers of electric cars will have to pay a parking fee from April.

In addition, the use of parking spaces with electric chargers reserved for environmentally friendly cars will be stricter. These spaces can only be used for the duration of charging, and you can park in them for a maximum of two hours.

It is important to note that when starting to use the electric charger, the driver of the car must clearly indicate the start time of the electric charging on the windshield of the vehicle. In the event of non-compliance, the driver is liable to pay a surcharge.

General parking fees in Mosonmagyaróvár parking zones range from HUF 150 to HUF 450 per hour.
